NHS boss: ‘Constrained circumstances’

NHS patients in England face longer waits for hospital operations such as knee and hip replacements in a “trade-off” for improved care in other areas, NHS England boss Simon Stevens says.

In response to whether this is the “creeping retreat of the NHS” on the , Mr Stevens says we have a service that’s “under pressure” and they have to do more in a “constrained set of circumstances”.
